Playa de Las Fuentes: Alcocebre's Most Distinctive Beach
Playa de Las Fuentes is without doubt one of the most original and beautiful beaches in the whole of the Valencian Community. Its name refers to an extraordinary natural phenomenon: the freshwater springs that bubble up directly from the sand at the shoreline, fed by the aquifers of the Sierra de Irta. In summer you can see small pools of cold water right in the wet sand — a surprising contrast with the warm Mediterranean.
