The 45 restaurants of Alcossebre, by area

Alcossebre has 45 restaurants with their own page on this site, and here they all are on a single page, grouped by area: the Las Fuentes marina, the seafront promenade, the village centre, Camí l’Atall with Playa Romana and Manyetes, and Cargador beach. With address, type of cooking and a phone number you can tap.

The ones in the gastronomic guides

Atalaya, on Camí l’Atall next to the marina, is the only restaurant on the whole Castellón coast with a Michelin star: it won it in 2021 and has kept it since. It is run by Alejandra Herrador and Emanuel Carlucci, who also have Vermuda as the informal version of the same cooking, at friendlier prices.

El Pinar, on Calle Islas Mancolibre, has been going for over thirty years and holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand, with its tables on a raised spot above the sea. And Taberna Pikapote, opened in 2010 by a Basque chef in love with the Mediterranean, is a Basque-Mediterranean tavern and rice house, and one of the best rated in town.

If you want to understand the local cooking before choosing — the rice dishes, the market fish, the beach chiringuitos — start with the food guide.

Marina and Las Fuentes (12)

The densest cluster of restaurants: the marina units, the Las Fuentes beachfront and the developments behind it. This is where people dine late and where there is still life in September.

Club 21 sits inside the sports club of the development: as well as eating there is padel, tennis and pelota.

Seafront promenade (3)

Right on the promenade, between the village and Las Fuentes, with tables facing the sea.

Village centre (14)

Village cooking: set lunches, tapas and long-standing family places around plaza Vista Alegre, Calle Sant Benet and Calle San José. Better value than the seafront, harder parking.

For evening drinks and snacks, the nightlife map lists the pubs and terraces.

Camí l’Atall: Playa Romana, Playa del Moro and Manyetes (9)

The road that runs along the northern beaches. These are the restaurants of the developments and apartment complexes, many of them right on the sand.

Can Roig opened on platja Manyetes in 1984, and Montemar was founded in 1945 on plaza Vista Alegre, when Alcossebre was still a fishing village; today it is on Camí l’Atall. The beaches in this area are covered in the beaches and coves guide.

Cargador beach (2)

The Blue Flag town beach, south of the marina. Two houses specialising in rice dishes and market fish, both on the beach itself.

Other addresses in the municipality (5)

The ones outside the areas above: the access road, the Bovalar, the Manyetes campsite and the spots with a view.

How to use this directory

In July and August you need to book, especially on the seafront and on fiesta weekends. Out of season the problem is the opposite: many close or cut back their days, so call before turning up. The off-season guide explains what stays open from October to May.

The contact details are the ones published on each restaurant's own page. Menus, opening hours and phone numbers change: if you find something out of date, or a place that no longer exists, tell us and we will fix it — as we did when we removed the ones that have closed.

And if you come during the fiestas, the Alcossebre agenda has the communal paellas, the Tapa Route and the Cocktail Tour, which are the other way of eating in town.

Directory generated from the 45 restaurant pages published on this site, grouped by area according to what each page states. Closed businesses are left out of the listing (Forn Tonico keeps its page as a memento; Cheers was removed in August 2026 when it closed).
