ALCOSSEBRE TAPAS TRAIN ROUTE
This route has been organised by the Alcossebre gastronomic association 'de la mar a la taula' ('from the sea to the table'), with the support of the Town Council and the Alcossebre Tourist Board and the participating restaurants. The route involves the running of a journey along a large part of the coast of the municipality of Alcossebre (Alcalà de Xivert), on the tourist train, enjoying the scenic and natural beauty of its coastline. It will also make stops at the restaurants located right on the seafront (vora mar), where you can taste the tapas created especially for this scenic-gastronomic event.
The days will kick off on 14 July at approximately 11:00 at the Alcossebre tourist train station/stop. At this opening event a special route will be run bringing together all the participating venues (the restaurants TROPICANA, CANROIG, MONTEMAR, LA SAL, RTE. BATISTE, RTE. JUAN and RTE. NÁUTICO) costing 21 euros per person. Bookings will be handled by the gastronomic association itself, as there will be no ticket sales (access will only be by invitation from the gastronomic association or the participating venues and the Town Council). From that day on, two routes will be run every Wednesday and Saturday, until 8 September inclusive, following the same scenic coastal journey, with four tapas stops. This ticket -costing 13 euros including the journey plus tapas- can be bought at the tourist train stop itself. The train will leave at around 11:30 in the morning and return at around 13:30 or 14:00 to the same point. Each venue will have a stop lasting approximately 20 minutes.
The association would like to thank all the participating venues, the tourist train, the Town Council and the Tourist Board for their collaboration, without which this event would not be possible.
