Apartamentos Vista Alegre, on the seafront
Apartamento Vista Alegre is on Passeig de Vista Alegre, on the seafront of the village, with views of the sea and of El Cargador beach, a few metres away. It is 94 m² with three bedrooms, and there is one figure worth reading before you book: it has a single bathroom.Beachfront and central at once, which do not always go together
In Alcossebre those two usually live apart: the beachfront is out in the urbanisations and the central part is a street inland. Here they coincide: the building faces the sea on the promenade itself, and at the same time the village is on foot — supermarkets, restaurants, ice-cream parlours — with no need for the car at all.
El Cargador is the municipality’s main beach and holds the Blue Flag year after year: natural sand, calm water and the promenade across it. From the terrace you see the sea and you see the life, which in summer is half the holiday.
94 m² and three bedrooms, with one bathroom
It is 94 m² with three bedrooms for five people, and one bathroom. We say it in the opening and repeat it here because it is the figure that changes a holiday most and appears in listings least: with five people and one bathroom, mornings need organising.
If that is a problem, the catalogue has other three-bedroom options with two bathrooms. If it is not, ninety-four square metres on the seafront and in the centre are hard to match.
What it does not have
So there are no surprises: it has no pool, no air conditioning and no parking space; access to the building is by stairs. It does have a terrace, sea views and Wi-Fi.
None of that weighs the same in every month. In July and August air conditioning and parking are keenly felt — that is what the pool and A/C and own parking lists are for; in June, September and the out-of-season weeks they stop being the criterion and location takes over.
What is next door
The promenade starts at the door, and along it you reach Las Fuentes beach and the marina, which is where the waterside restaurants are. In the other direction, the climb to the Santa Lucía hermitage and the paths of the Sierra de Irta Natural Park.
Who it suits, and how to book
It suits a family of five who put location ahead of fittings: beachfront, centre and sea views, in exchange for one bathroom and no pool or A/C. Outside July and August it is a very good choice.
Booking is handled by Casa Azahar.
