Stars are the official hotel category; keys are the tourist-apartment one. “Pensión” and “casa rural” are categories in their own right, not a lesser hotel: in Alcalà they are village houses.
The official guide does not publish prices or availability, so you have to call for that. In July and August book well ahead; June and September leave more room, as we explain in the Alcossebre off season guide.
